Our Yazidis in Conversation programme runs continuously and accepts students year-round. It pairs you with a fluent speaker for a weekly hour of practice — a good way to keep improving between semesters.

Before you apply

Do the classes cost anything?

No. Every course we run is free, and always will be.

Who can register?

Our courses are for members of the Yazidi community whose education was disrupted. Students of all ages and all levels, from complete beginner to advanced, are welcome.

What do I need to take part?

A device — laptop, tablet or smartphone — and an internet connection. If you do not have a device, see our device programme.

How do I get a certificate?

Attendance is the gate: you need 80% attendance to receive anything at all. With 80% attendance and a passed end-of-course test you receive a Certificate of Completion. With 80% attendance but no pass, you receive a Certificate of Participation. Below 80%, no certificate is issued.

We have awarded 300 certificates since 2023.
